2024 ANNUAL HALLOWEEN HOOK-IN

October 24-25-26, 2024

9:00 AM - 10:00 PM

 

VENUE:  Baymont Inn & Suites, by Wyndham, 245 Florence Avenue, Owatonna, MN

Discounted Block of rooms reserved until October 1, 2024. Ask for Room Block under the group name “Halloween Rug Hooking Event”. There is also a Block of Rooms reserved at the Courtyard Marriot, downtown Owatonna.

The Hook-in will be held in the Heritage Meeting Rooms at the Hotel. Doors will open each day at 9:00 AM. You can park in the back parking lot of the Hotel and enter through the Kitchen doors to the Meeting Rooms. Please check in with Joyce when you arrive at the Hook-in.

Doors will be unlocked at 9 AM by Joyce and locked at 10 PM by Joyce. Please do not ask the Housekeepers or Front Desk Clerks to unlock the Meeting Room Doors for you. I appreciate your cooperation with these rules.

Due to having a class in the Hooking Room, there will be limited space available for attendees. Please pre-register, cash or checks only, for this Hook-in to ensure that you have a spot at the Event. Registration Form included for Hook-in & Class.

 

ENTRY FEES:  $50 (for 2-3 days)                             $30 (for one day)

 

CLASS:  Vicki McCutchan will be teaching a “Primitive & Proddy Elements Class”. Information attached. Pre-registration for Vicki’s class is mandatory, no later than October 10, 2024. Registration for the Hook-in is required to take Vicki's Class.

MEALS:  Meals will be on your own for the Hook-in. The Hotel serves Continental Breakfast every morning. There are plenty of eating establishments within walking distance of the Hotel or within a short distance by vehicle.

FIELD TRIP:  There will be a Field Trip to the Straight River Rug Hooking retail store, downtown Owatonna. Time will be announced Thursday morning.

WOOLY SNATCH GAME:  Bring a quarter yard of wool to participate in this game, Friday afternoon. This is a fun game where every participant will get a quarter yard of beautiful wool when the game is finished.

SALE TABLE: Available in the Hooking Room for fiber-related items only. PLEASE no wool.

RUG SHOW:  Bring your rugs to show off! The Rug Show will be in the Heritage Room

Time will be announced Thursday morning.

OPEN SHOPPING:  Saturday, 10 AM - Noon. There is no charge for stopping in at the Hook-in Saturday morning to shop.

DOOR PRIZES:  Door prizes will be given out Thursday and Friday

VENDORS:  Patti Morning, Dyed4Ewe and Straight River Rug Hooking

 

This Hook-in will end at 6:00 PM Saturday night.
